Upper Muskegon River
Active Paddle
Sunday June 7
🚣 21 mile active paddle 🚣
Join us for this do-over of this 8th journey in our quest to traverse the entire Muskegon River. You can look up the post from our first try in late November. It was crazy! This time, though, we’re coming prepared for any tree-fall by bringing saws and come-alongs. And hopefully the higher water and more daylight this spring will help.
This trip is about 21 miles at a good pace of +/- 4 mph. If you’re into leisurely floats, it’s certainly not that. We’ll stop a few times for lunch, stretching, and pee breaks. We encountered double digit portages last time, so, of course, we’re hoping for less. But I’m going to guess more than zero.
