Master Trip Report Template

Every club trip report is built from the club's master template — one page embed with the trip's route, launches, and day-by-day story. The rules that keep reports trustworthy:

  • Watermark all club photos with the club badge before uploading them.
  • Flows and weather come from recorded USGS and NWS data only. Never estimate a flow — if a reading does not exist, the report says “[not available]”.
  • Fill in every placeholder in the template; delete any optional block the trip does not need.
  • Follow the wording rules written in the template file's header, exactly as written there.

Planning a Club Trip

The club Calendar is the single source of truth for events. Create the event on the club's Facebook Page and it syncs to the calendar on the website. Every trip listing carries the date, the river, the distance, the difficulty, and how to RSVP.

Mileage Log

Log your river miles after every paddle — the log lives on the homepage and the leaderboard keeps the season's totals. The river guides list segment distances, which helps when planning a route or logging a trip afterward.

Admin Information

Membership

New members sign the membership agreement on the Become a Member page. Signed agreements are delivered to the club's email, and the member email list is updated from them. The Facebook group is the main coordination channel for paddles.

Weekly Rhythms

  • Daily: new Facebook Page events sync to the club calendar and are shared to the group as event cards.
  • Tuesdays: trip reminders post to the Facebook Page for trips starting within the next 7 days.
  • Wednesdays: the Question of the Week posts in the Facebook group.
