21 miles complete!
Muskegon River Part 7 is officially in the books—and this time we had our biggest group yet with 7 paddlers! The crew keeps getting bigger, and that makes these adventures even better.
We were happy to have our friends Karen Stanley and Gary join us, along with a few other paddlers from another local paddling club. It was great sharing the river with a mix of familiar faces and new ones.
The River 🌲🛶
The fall color and wildlife are starting to fade, but the Muskegon River is still as beautiful as ever.
This section brought a different kind of adventure, with plenty of log hops, log unders, and tight passages along the way.
Someone—or some group—has done a great job clearing a minimalist path through the river, making navigation through some of those sections much easier while still keeping that wild, remote feel.
A Peaceful 21 Miles
Overall, it was a peaceful 21-mile paddle with a great group, good conversation, and plenty of time to simply enjoy the river.
Every section of the Muskegon seems to offer something different, and that’s what keeps bringing us back.
