- Participating in organized group paddles.
- Learning from experienced paddlers.
- Exploring new destinations.
- Participating in longer-distance and multi-day trips.
- Developing confidence and paddling experience.
A paddling community can also help you stay motivated and active throughout the year.
What Makes West Michigan Kayaking Club Different?
West Michigan Kayaking Club was established in 2019 in the Grand Rapids area.
Our organization was created for people who enjoy active outdoor adventures and want to explore more of Michigan.
Rather than focusing exclusively on short recreational outings, our club also organizes longer-distance paddles, river expeditions, kayak camping trips, hiking, cycling, and endurance challenges.
Our typical adventures may cover 15–30 miles of paddling, depending on the river, conditions, and event.
We enjoy exploring destinations throughout Michigan, including the Muskegon, Manistee, AuSable, Grand, Pere Marquette, and other rivers.
